PREDEFINED 'RESULT' VARIABLE ALWAYS REMAINS EMPTY IF SET IN JOIN (Doc ID 1393532.1)

Last updated on MARCH 08, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Business Process Management Suite - Version: 10.3 and later   [Release: and later ]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In a Join activity the predefined variable result is set to a value e.g. "value1". When this predefined variable 'result' is used to evaluate outgoing conditional transition from this Join activity with condition e.g. result == "value1", it always fails and takes the unconditional transition.

Also from join activity, if next activity is conditional activity. In this conditional activity, check the same condition, result == "value1" in conditional transition, it always fails and takes the unconditioanl transition.

Please note that this issue occurs when predefined variable result is used.
