ODSEE - Creating or Re-indexing VLV (Browsing) Index Fails After Encrypting Attributes. (Doc ID 1394032.1)

Symptoms

Cannot create or re-index VLV index using the dsadm command.

If there are encrypted attributes, attempting to create or re-create a VLV index fails and generates the following errors:

[24/Oct/2011:14:09:11 -0600] - DEBUG - conn=-1 op=-1 msgId=-1 - Backend Instance: foo
[24/Oct/2011:14:09:11 -0600] - foo: Indexing VLV: Sort rev employeenumber
[24/Oct/2011:14:09:11 -0600] - foo: Index buffer bucket size: 0
[24/Oct/2011:14:09:11 -0600] - ERROR<4804> - Encryption - conn=-1 op=-1 msgId=-1 - Internal error Missing security initialization required by attribute encryption.
[24/Oct/2011:14:09:11 -0600] - ERROR<4806> - Encryption - conn=-1 op=-1 msgId=-1 - Internal error Cannot encrypt/decrypt: missing crypto key for mechanism ckm_des3_cbc.
[24/Oct/2011:14:09:11 -0600] - ERROR<21256> - Backend Database - conn=-1 op=-1 msgId=-1 - Encryption plugin (ckm_des3_cbc): failed to decrypt.
[24/Oct/2011:14:09:11 -0600] - foo: Finished indexing.
