Changes to Custom Page Styles Used in WebCenter Portal Applications are not Recognised (Doc ID 1396094.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 11, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Portal - Version 11.1.1.5.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

A custom page style is used for WebCenter applications.
This is created by copying one of the default page styles (e.g. Blank), exporting it and then importing it and editing it in JDeveloper.  This page style is used when creating pages in WebCenter Portal .

The first time a page is created the page style is picked up correctly and we see the page displayed using the new code added in JDeveloper.  However, when any subsequent pages are created in Webcenter Portal using this customised page style, the page type is not picked up correctly .
We see the features of the original style on these pages and we do not see the changes.
