"ERROR : APEX is Undefined" When Accessing APEX With APEX Listener using WLS (Doc ID 1399033.1)

Symptoms

This issue is only related to when using APEX Listener deployed with WLS (Web Logic Server).

Oracle Application Express (APEX) has either been installed as new or upgraded from a previous version and is deployed using the APEX Listener method. On trying to access either the the APEX development environment or an APEX application, the following error is shown.

 

Changes

APEX has been installed (upgraded) and configured to use the APEX Listener.
