How to purge active instances ("Running" / "Recovery Needed" state) by using the purge scripts?
Purge scripts are designed to not purge any active instances (which include running or recovery-required instances).
We expect users to take care of the active instances (either retry or cancel) which transits the instances to a non-active state and allow the purge script to delete them.
Backup your database before using this solution.
This solution applies to the purge scripts from SOA 22.214.171.124.0+.
The purge scripts for 126.96.36.199 includes the deletion of instances based on composite name, where as 188.8.131.52 to 184.108.40.206 purge script do not have this feature.
