Archive Replication Push Fails with Error: Malformed Request (Doc ID 1404523.1)

Symptoms

You are trying to do content replication from one Content Server to another. Providers in both directions have been set up; archives are present on both servers, and the archive on the target server is "targetable".

The source server can open the target server's collection, but you cannot see the actual remote archive.

The target server log shows an error like this one:


where the Malformed Request value corresponds to the product version of the source server.
