Unable to Access a Portal when User Gets Privileges through a Dynamic Group

Symptoms
Note: WebCenter Spaces has been renamed to WebCenter Portal. In versions prior to 11.1.1.7, the term 'spaces' was used. In 11.1.1.7 and beyond, 'spaces' will now be referred to as 'portals'.
Oracle Internet Directory (OID) was configured as the external LDAP for WebCenter Portal and then a dynamic group was created. A portal was created and privileges were granted to that group. If a member of that group tries to access the portal the following error shows up:
You do not have access.
If privileges are granted directly to the user, then the user can access the portal. This only happens with dynamic groups. Static groups work as expected.
