Publisher Taskflow - Updating Published Date When Other User "Likes" It

Goal
Users experiencing the below issue with the Publisher Taskflow.
User X enters a "What's On Your Mind?" update on <CURRENT_DATE>. User Y views User X's "Profile" > "Activities" tab on <FUTURE_DATE>. Here he sees User X's "What's On Your Mind?" update (published on 19th Jan) and clicks "Like" to like that update.
After User Y likes the update and refreshes the profile, User X's "What's On Your Mind?" update's date is updated to <FUTURE_DATE>.
If User X likes their own status, it does NOT change the publication date.
