Last updated on AUGUST 07, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle SOA Platform - Version 11.1.1.5.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

There are situation when you are interested in finding out the latest created human task.
In order to do that you might think that the soainfra.wftask#tasknumber field would be appropriate to watch.
This might be true for a single DB instance, but what happens when you take the step to a full blown RAC?

This note clarifies how others have done it, the issues they have encountered and finally how they have implemented it.

Question 1:
How do you control the numbering of field wftask.tasknumber in a RAC environment using MultiData source?

Question 2:
In WFTASK table the createddate is of type DATE and not TIMESTAMP. If both tasks are completed on the same date then how can you get the latest task?
