How To Reset the Portlet Navigational State with WebCenter?
(Doc ID 1419774.1)
Last updated on FEBRUARY 02, 2022
Applies to:
Oracle WebCenter Portal - Version 11.1.1.4.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
In a workflow portlet, if user go to other page and come back, the portlet will not refresh and go back to the first view in a WSRP scenario. However in local portlet scenario, it is working.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Register any Producer into a WebCenter.
- Placed any portlet within WebCenter pages.
- Once the end user goes to the page and somewhat uses one of the portlets within the Producer that has an embedded navigation and goes thru it, such portlet navigation remains at the same point, if a user navigates away to another WebCenter page.
Though this is the desired functionality (from WebCenter), it can be that is not the desired by the end user, eg, the user may want to navigate away from the page, eg, to another page and reset the navigation state.
Such desired functionality has been added via Enhancement Request (ER) <Bug 13030690>: PORTLET STATE NOT RESET WHEN NAVIGATING AWAY AND BACK TO PAGE
