Running WCC 11g As Windows Service, Kerberos Authentication Prompts for Login (Doc ID 1420125.1)

Symptoms

The Windows Service for the 11g WebCenter Content server (formerly UCM, Universal Content Management) was created as documented in KM notes:

1060058.1 - How to Install MS Windows Services For FMW 11g WebLogic Domain Admin and Managed Servers

The WCC starts and is accessible; however,  the Kerberos Single Sign-On is not working correctly. Users are getting prompted to authenticate whereas they should just be able to go directly into the WCC page.
