Last updated on OCTOBER 05, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Internet Directory - Version 10.1.4.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Oracle Internet Directory (OID) 10g 10.1.4.3 on 64bit platform.

Applied <Patch:8453300> for updated JDK 1.4.2_xx, needed to address issues with unauthenticated access (reference JAVA CPU advisory page,
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/topics/security/javacpufeb2012-366318.html ).

After applying patch, OID fails with start.

oidmon.log shows:

Check OIDLDAPD1.log for more details.
After fixing the problem execute the following command
oidctl connect=oiddb host=oidhost.mycompany.com server=OIDLDAPD inst=1 start

Rolling back <Patch:8453300> allows OID to start and work ok again.

Changes

Applied <Patch:8453300>.
