After configuring Oracle Proxy Plug-in (oracle_proxy.dll) to forward requests to Oracle HTTP Server (OHS) the plug-in the request fails with the following error when the site is accessed in the browser from the Internet Information Services (IIS) machine.
Calling GetFilterVersion on ISAPI filter "C:\Oracle\oproxy\oracle_proxy.dll" failed
Attempting to access the site from a browser external to the IIS machine will result in a 500 error with no details. If you have the log_file and log_level=debug configured for IIS Proxy Adapter in the Windows Registry you will see the following in the log_file.

This log is describing that there was a problem reading the server_defs file the you point to in the Windows Registry.
