Symptoms

In a custom WebCenter portal application, selecting a Microsoft Office document (Word, Excel, or PowerPoint document) to view within the Document Explorer task flow will result in the document viewer page throwing the following javascript error in Internet Explorer:

In addition, the File and View buttons on the document viewer page do not work.

Refreshing the page will result in proper display and function of the page without the javascript error.
