Purpose

This provides troubleshooting assistance for Extract performance issues in which a RMTTRAIL is deing written.  These are some reasons you may be wanting to investigate this

1. Lag is increasing on a extract data pump when the volume of transactions may be high while writing a remote trail (RMTTRAIL)

2. A test of an extract pump to write a local trail (exttrail) does not exhibit the same lag issues when reading the same source trails.

3. Response from ggsci > SEND Extract GETTCPSTATS shows the extract pump is spending most of the time waiting to receive data

4. A diagnostic of adding the Trace parameter to your extract pump shows a lot of time spent in the summary state of Writing output records (replicate_io)
