"SDATA section DDOCTYPE does not exist" Error When Searching in WebCenter Content: Records (Formally URM) (Doc ID 1431646.1)

Symptoms

When searches are run which are sorted on dDocType, the following error is displayed:

Unable to retrieve search results Error generated when executing query <snipped>
Unable to execute callable query 'CotsSearchQuery'.
ORA-20000: Oracle Text error:
DRG-50857: oracle error in ctx_query.result_set
ORA-20000: Oracle Text error:
DRG-11131: Error from Oracle XML parser: LPX-00222: error received from SAX callback function
DRG-13600: Syntax error in the result set descriptor
DRG-10856: SDATA section DDOCTYPE does not exist



The same search when sorted on dDocName works without issue.
