How To Specify a Multicast Address For OScache in OIM 11g? (Doc ID 1437758.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 26, 2016

Applies to:

Identity Manager - Version: 11.1.1.3.0 and later   [Release: 11g and later ]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Earlier versions of Oracle Identity Manager (OIM) prior to 11g allowed an administrator to specify a multicast address for the OScache component in a OIM cluster configuration in the xlconfig.xml file.

In OIM 11g /db/oim-config.xml in MDS is used to specify whether the cache is enabled/disabled and this is described in the following documentation:
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/doc.1111/e14308/tuningappcache.htm

However, the documentation doesn't describe how to specify a multicast address for the OSCache synchronisation between OIM server instances in a WebLogic cluster.  Is this possible?
