Workaround to migrate a Java Enterprise System (JES) Based Oracle iPlanet Web Server Install To A File Based Install (Doc ID 1438616.1)

Symptoms

Oracle iPlanet Web Server installed using the Java Enterprise System (JES) based patch does not have a supported migration path to the file based installer for the iPlanet Web Server.  Oracle is currently not releasing any more JES based patches to upgrade the iPlanet Web Server to current service packs.  JES has officially reached its end of support life (EOSL).  The dates had been officially announced in the document "Oracle Lifetime Support Policy: Oracle and Sun System Software" located here on page 10: Oracle Lifetime Support Policy

Thus, when trying to install the file based bits for Oracle iPlanet Web Server over the JES installed Web Server the setup script complains with the following error:
