Goal
The installation of FMW products is based on the schema :
- Installation of the supported WebLogic Server (WLS) binary in a directory. This directory is then known as FMW Home
- Installation of the binaries of the Oracle Suites you target to use in your environment. Each Oracle Suites has to be installed in a FMW Home ( a folder which contains a WLS binary installation)
The Oracle documents usually suggest to use one FMW Home under which all the Oracle Suites binaries are installed. With this kind of architecture, all the product installations (domains, instances) can share the same domain :
- there is only one Administrative Server
- there is only one FMW Console
