Symptoms
Oracle Internet Directory (OID 10g and OID 11g) does not start automatically after server reboot. Normally after the server is rebooted, all the processes including OID are up and running.
ldapbind fails:
There are no errors in the OID log files. The last entry in the $ORACLE_HOME/ldap/log/oidmon.log is dated prior to the server reboot.
Steps to reproduce
1. Reboot the server where OID is installed.
2. Try to access the application that uses OID for authentication: error.
3. Run ldapbind: Cannot connect to the LDAP server
