Getting Internal Error Message From Webcenter Spaces After OID Authenticator Configuration (Doc ID 1449068.1)

Symptoms


After configuration of Oracle WebCenter Spaces with an external OID Authenticator an internal error occurs on login.

In the Diagnostic log for WebCenter Spaces the following error is seen:

<> <Error> <oracle.jps.idmgmt> <BEA-000000> <java.lang.NullPointerException
oracle.security.idm.ConfigurationException: java.lang.NullPointerException
at oracle.security.idm.providers.ovd.OVDConfiguration.setDefaultConfig(OVDConfiguration.java:110)

Changes

You have configured an OID as external authenticator for the security realm in which Spaces is deployed.
