ODSEE - When Adding Clientaddressmask Entries to a New Connection Handler Using DSCC the First Client IP/Mask Added Shows up in Confirmation Screen Showing an "AND" Operator instead of an "OR" Operator (Doc ID 1449195.1)

Last updated on MARCH 04, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Directory Server Enterprise Edition - Version 11.1.1.5.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Purpose

The criteria "clientipaddress" and "clientipaddressmask" are of the same type and needs to be connected through an "OR" operator; not through an "AND".

So instead of:

Criteria: clientipaddress = 1.2.3.4 OR clientipaddress = 2.3.4.5 OR
clientipaddress = 3.4.5.6 ; AND clientipaddressmask = 10.0.0.0 / 255.0.0.0 OR
clientipaddressmask = <INTERNAL_IP_ADD> / 255.255.255.0 ; ...

it should be:

Criteria: clientipaddress = 1.2.3.4 OR clientipaddress = 2.3.4.5 OR
clientipaddress = 3.4.5.6 ; OR clientipaddressmask = 10.0.0.0 / 255.0.0.0 OR
clientipaddressmask = <INTERNAL_IP_ADD> / 255.255.255.0 ; ...

* Where "<INTERNAL_IP_ADD>" is an internal 198.* IP Address.
