ODSM Connection To OVD 11g Fails With: Error / Not a valid connection. Check if the server is SSL enabled. (Doc ID 1452275.1)

Symptoms

Oracle Virtual Directory (OVD) 11g, i.e., 11.1.1.5.

Connecting to OVD from Oracle Directory Services Manager (ODSM) fails with:

Error
Not a valid connection. Check if the server is SSL enabled.


The $MW_HOME/user_projects/domains/<Domain_Name>/servers/<Managed_Server_Name, i.e. wls_ods1>/logs/wls_ods1-diagnostic.log shows:
