Symptoms

Attempts to configure Oracle Access Manager (OAM) WebGate 10.1.4.3 with OAM 11g Server in Simple mode are failing.

During installation of the Webgate 10.1.4.3 software an error occurs at configuration phase. SIMPLE mode is selected for the WebGate => OAM Server communication mode, in the installer screen.

OAM Server is running and has already been configured to run in Simple mode.

The WebGate GUI installer halts at the "Configuring WebGate" stage. There is an additional User Input Panel window displayed with message:

 


The network packet trace indicates that the OAM server immediately rejects the SSL connection request and closes the connection.
