WebLogic On Exalogic Has Problem Maintaining A Connection With A Remote Tuxedo Domain Using WTC

Connections between WebLogic Tuxedo Connector (WTC) on Exalogic and Tuxedo running on a remote AIX box do not not stay connected. The WTC domain is configured for ON_STARTUP (with retry) and the Tuxedo domain is configured for INCOMING_ONLY.
The following errors keep appearing in the Tuxedo ULOG file:
094456.<ExaMachineNAme>!GWTDOMAIN.xxxx.772.0: LIBGWT_CAT:1130: INFO: Disconnected from domain (domainid=<wtcLocal>)
094456.<ExaMachineNAme>!GWTDOMAIN.xxxx.772.0: LIBGWT_CAT:1354: INFO: Retrying domain (domainid=<wtcLocal>) every 60 seconds
After turning on WTC tracing, the following IOException is seen in the WLS server log on Exalogic:
Migrated applications to Exalogic platform.
