Domain Reports an IOException and Becomes Unresponsive when the Enterprise Manager Deployer Page is Loaded Repeatedly.

Repeatedly loading the "Manage Applications" tab of the Enterprise Manager Deployer results in the following java.io.IOException being written to the log file for the application server. After this exception is logged, a 'page not found' message is reported in the 'Manage Applications' tab of the Enterprise Manager. The 'page not found' message usually clears without further action after a couple of minutes. However sometimes the application server fails to respond and has to be restarted to clear the problem. The exception is:

Caused by: java.net.SocketException: Unexpected end of file from server
Note that in particular the application server fails to respond when the 'Web Container' and 'com.stc.emanager' log levels for the domain are set to FINEST.
