WCI Collaboration Throws "Different Format" Error When Clicking-Through to Excel 2007 and 2010 Files

Clicking-through to an Excel 2007 or 2010 spreadsheet in WCI Collaboration causes the error: "The file you are trying to open, '[new file name]', is in a different format than specified by the file extension. Verify that the file is not corrupted and is from a trusted source before opening the file. Do you want to open the file now?"

You are able to successfully open the same file using the WebEdit functionality.


Update Portal and Collaboration configuration files (e.g., collabStringBundle.properties, collabStringBundle_[language_selection].properties, documentTemplates.xml, filetypes.xml) to register Microsoft Office document extensions with the portal and Collaboration components: .docx, .xlsx, .pptx.
