Modified condition "User:Multiple failures" to have logic of Equal to instead of Greater than (Doc ID 1457857.1)

Last updated on MAY 02, 2014

Applies to:

Oracle Adaptive Access Manager - Version 10.1.4.5 to 10.1.4.5.0 [Release 10g]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

There is no way to create a new condition in Administration Console of OAAM.

If you require a rule that triggers an alert when a user fails to login successfully over a specified number of times. In the scenario there are users who try repeatedly keep on trying failed logins and in end they generate many alerts. The result is you have many alerts for the same user which is something undesirable.

The condition that is used is "User:Multiple failures" which checks for "greater than" this value. Now you could achieve the above results desired by having checks for "equal" this value.
