Weblogic Log Files Not Rotating As Desired (Doc ID 1458388.1)

Symptoms

WebLogic Server (WLS) log files are not rotated when the Mode is set to Time. When the log file name includes time and date stamp in it, the log files are not rotated to the specified rotated directory, instead they are created in the current directory.
This happens only when the rotation type is By Time.
