SS Rest Call URL causing redirect loops (Doc ID 1461072.1)

Symptoms

When making REST calls through the Satellite Server, browsers (e.g. Firefox) complain that the page is having redirect loops and the request cannot be completed. The same REST call direct to CS is working fine and the results are displayed.
