Symptoms

When monitoring JMS Servers using Administration Console, after using pause/resume features, the number of pending messages shown in the monitoring views is incorrect.

How to identify this behavior

As part of normal administrative tasks, sometimes JMS Servers require to be paused in order to provide a window to perform common tasks (i.e. Associated Persistent Stores depends on back-end Data Bases that might require planned downtime for maintenance) so JMS resources must be stopped to support these operations.

Without having paused/resumed the JMS Servers during runtime, If you look closer into the monitoring section of JMS components, you might be able to correct monitor the amount of message processed and its status:

But if paused, and therefore resumed insertion (Options available though <Domain> -> Services -> Messaging -> JMS Servers -> JMS Server(name)-> Contol (tab) ) you may notice the following figures:
