Symptoms
When creating a new space/portal as an administrative user the following error is returned:
Warning
Errors were encountered while creating the Space. The main error is - Role not specified. Rollback of the creation also failed. You may want to clean the current Space if it is visible in your lists. You may want to try to create the Space again later or contact the administrator.
The WC_Spaces-diagnostic.log file shows the following errors:
[APP: webcenter#11.1.1.4.0] [SRC_METHOD: getApplicationRoles] No RESULTS
<Warning> <oracle.webcenter.webcenterapp.model.security.WebCenterSecurityUtils> <WCS-19338> <Couldn't retrieve display name for user <USERNAME> due to User: <USERNAME> not found in identity store.
Changes
There may have been users or groups recently added to the identity store that share the same name. In the error above, it would be the username returned in the error that has been duplicated as a group name, however this could be any user or group name in which names overlap.
