List Edit Button Not Available When Rendering SlotList Within Another Slot (Doc ID 1466764.1)

Goal

The "Edit List" option is not available when rendering insite:slotList within a slot. The context/popup menu shows correctly only when the actual slot is NOT rendered within another slot. The user will only be able to change the order of the list, and replace items in the list, but adding or deleting items from the list is not possible, how can we correct this behavior ?
