Exalogic Compute Nodes Discovered As 32-bit Instead Of 64-bit From Enterprise Manager 12c (Doc ID 1466853.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 02, 2012

Applies to:

Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud Software - Version 1.0.0.0.0 to 1.0.0.2.4
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In Exalogic environments running with EECS version 1.0 and OEL 5.5 operating system when installing Enterprise Manager 12c agents on compute nodes, issue of Enterprise Manager discovering Exalogic compute nodes as 32-bit is observed. In Exalogic machines full hardware is 64 bit compliant and Linux operating system distributions are 64 bit, so compute nodes should be discovered as 64-bit from Enterprise Manager.

However  'uname -m' output shows compute nodes as 64-bit. Below is snippet.

[root@exalcn01 ~]# uname -m
x86_64
