Symptoms

Installer fails during the initial operating system checks, due to missing RPM's

 

The following error is seen in the command window when the runInstaller command is issued, during the operating system checks:

"Preparing to launch Oracle Installer ...Exception in "main" java.Lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: /tmp/OraInstall2012-06-12_04-16-59PM/jdk/jre/lib/amd64.xawt/libmawt.so: libXtst.so.6: can not open shared object file: No such file or directory
at java.lang.ClassLoader$NativeLibrary.load(Native Method)
