Oracle Fusion Middleware Repository Creation Utility 11g Fails with RCU-6130 RCU-6136 on Oracle Enterprise Linux 6 (Doc ID 1469169.1)

Symptoms

If you are seeing similar errors while running the RCU from a Windows environment consult the following document:
RCU 11g fails on MS Windows - RCU-6136:Error while trying to execute SQLPlus action (<Doc ID 1382308.1>)



While running the Repository Creation Utility 11g (RCU) from Oracle Enterprise Linux 6 (OEL6) 64bit, it is possible to have errors while creating the schemas.
The Oracle Universal Installer will first throw errors in the graphical user interface such as RCU-6130 RCU-6136. The picture below is an example:

This issue has also been reported to happen on Oracle Enterprise Linux 5

 


When you select OK this will take you to the Completion Summary page to review what has failed.



Upon inspection of the RCU logs (RCU_HOME/rcu/log/logdir.date_timestamp/rcu.log), the following will be seen.

 These errors are most notably seen on Oracle Identity Management and Oracle Identity and Access Management schemas but can occur on any schema.
