Coherence Extends Proxy Does Not Startup Properly And Fails With "Invalid host in address list " When Using authorized-host-list
Last updated on FEBRUARY 24, 2017
Applies to:Oracle Coherence - Version 188.8.131.52 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
The Coherence Cluster 3.6 failed to start up properly after a hostname specified in the cache-config -> caching-schemes -> proxy-scheme -> acceptor-config -> tcp-acceptor -> authorized-hosts tag fails to resolve its DNS name:
As a result the .NET clients cannot connect to the Coherence Extend Proxy Server.
One of the hostnames specified in the authorized-hosts list was wrong, e.g. that can happen if the hostname can not be resolved in DNS or the hosts file.
