How to Recover the Messages From A Corrupted Persistent Store? (Doc ID 1472267.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 21, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle WebLogic Server - Version 10.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

This article explains the procedure to recover JMS messages from a corrupted file store. When a persistent store gets corrupted, then during startup Weblogic server would start up in ADMIN mode as the JMS Server corresponding to the Persistent store would fail to load. Hence, it was needed to delete the persistent store and restart the server. This causes additional activity for the customer to recover the data from the persistent store which got corrupted.

In versions earlier than WLS 10.3.4, the customer had to take a backup of the persistent store (either file store or JDBC store) and provide it to Oracle Support to recover the data. This document provides the procedure to recover the data without creating an SR with Oracle Support.
