In Bi-Directional Replication, Supplemental Logging via DDL Is NOT Replicated to the Target Unless the Extract on the Target Is Running. (Doc ID 1472420.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 03, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle GoldenGate - Version 11.1.1.1.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After supplemental logging is enabled by been adding for a table(either by ADD TRANDATA command or Automatically by the EXTRACT ADDTRANDATA param), captured DDL changes should be sent to the target environment. In the problem case, INFO TRANDATA command on the target shows showing Supplement logging Disabled.

If you start EXTRACT on the target you will see supplemental logging enabled, but sometimes extract on the target extract may be down and you want to ensure that all operations are captured correctly on the new target table.
