Can WebLogic Plug-in return 404 code to Apache? (Doc ID 1472513.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 25, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle WebLogic Server - Version 6.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
When an application need to use weblogic apache web server plugin to proxy request to backend weblogic(S). As we known, the apache server can set a default 404 page, but if mod_wl is used to proxy request to weblogic, if the weblogic can't find the page, it will return the weblogic default 404 page to plugin, and plugin will direct return to client the origional content. Is there any method to change the response content to use apache server default 404 page(I can only find a plug parameter StatPath but not work)?
No method.

Set ErrorDocument 404 /missing.html in apache, then add weblogic module and related configuration, no matter how you configure the system, requesting a non-existing page to the weblogic server, the 404 code and/or errorpage configured in Web App could not be bypassed, as well as the missing.html can not be used.
