When WebCenter Portal PS5 BP3+ (11.1.1.6.3) is Applied on Top of an 11.1.1.6.x Instance the Connection Between Spaces and Discussions servers fails (Doc ID 1472681.1)

Symptoms

On a WebCenter Portal 11.1.1.6.0 you install Bundle Patch 3 (eg, 11.1.1.6.3) or above.

The same can be applicable to WebCenter Portal custom framework applications (built in JDeveloper).

The connection between Spaces and Discussions servers fails with the following error within the WC_Spaces.out:

Changes

Installed PS5 Bundle Patch 3 (eg, 11.1.1.6.3) or above.

This same problem can also happen simply after a domain restart and the same solution applies. Oracle Support has seen this happening.
