Goal

There are multiple instances of ODSEE on a single server (host) configured with different ports.

This KM doc addresses a solution for these two different issues -

1) A commercial certificate is needed for each instance. However, the Certificate Authority/CA (Verisign) will not allow multiple certificates with the same CN (common name), which is the fully-qualified domain name of the server containing the instances. What options are there to proceed from here?

2)Attempting to request a single certificate for use on multiple instances that are on the same host using the 'dsadm request-cert' command.
The syntax for 'dsadm request-cert' requires an INSTANCE_PATH.
How can a single certificate be requested for multiple instances that reside on one host?
