Symptoms

When invoking an HTTP based web service, around 20% of the time there are BOKEN PIPE exceptions (BEA - 38000) general error. For instance the response

If the business service (AIA FP business service) is throttled, by setting one concurrent user and 1000 messages in the queue, the error levels come down, but response times increase and throughput decreases.
