OWB Control Center Service Is Starting With a Delay (Doc ID 1474388.1)

Symptoms

The Oracle Warehouse Builder Control Center Service is started from a Client machine by executing, from a SQLPlus session, the script start_service.sql.

The Control Center Service is started on the Server with a delay of x hours.

Example: (Delay of 2 hours)

  1. Start_service.sql was executed at 16:11:20 of Central time from client machine.
  2. The job (wb_rti_service_job.check_service) was put with 16:11:20 stamp as NEXT_SEC in DBA_JOBS. Though on Server it was Pacific time 14:11:20.
  3. The Job stood in DBA_JOBS for two hours and started at 16:11:20 Pacific time, 18:11:20 Central. The run_service.sh was accessed at 16:11:20 Pacific time.
