"ldap_add: Type Or Value Exists" Error When Trying to Add New Entry in OID 11g (Doc ID 1476447.1)

Symptoms

Trying to add a new entry via ldapadd tool fails with following error:

 
Running an ldapsearch command querying for the new entry, e.g., "cn=<CONTAINER_1>",  returns nothing.

The purpose of this article is to explain one of the possible reasons why ldapadd tool returns this error.
