Glassfish Won't Start After Upgrade Reporting The Error "execve(): No such file or directory"

After attempting to startup an instance or domain an error similar to the following is reported in the server.log file:


A GlassFish Server file-based patch has been installed into an existing installation to upgrade the installation to the new patch revision.
