Generate "View This Item" Link For Uploaded Txt File In Asset UI (Doc ID 1478031.1)

By default when a blob file (ie pdf file) is uploaded to a blob attribute, a "View This Item" link is generated in the asset UI.  Clicking on this link would open the blob file in a new browser window to view its content.

An exception to this behavior is for *.txt files.  When a text file is uploaded to a blob attribute, the "View This Item" link is *not* generated in the asset UI, and instead an excerpt of the file content is displayed in the Contents section of that attribute.

Is there a way to enable the "View This Item" link for text files?
