Searches with Double Quote Character Return Null Pointer Exception (Doc ID 1479038.1)

Symptoms

When performing a search using only the double quote character, a Null Pointer Exception is returned. It does not matter if it is a metadata field search, quick search or full-text search. Other searches involving the double quote character work without issue.
