How to check if the check point file is locked? (Doc ID 1480118.1)

Goldengate is using file lock to determine if its process is running or not.
Sometimes, we may see the process (extract or replicat) is running, but it is not really running and its checkpoint file is locked. Note 1314220.1 describes how to resolve the issue.

This note will show how to check if the checkpoint file is locked or not.
