OVD Dynamic Groups Plugin Failing For Some MemberUrl

Symptoms
On : 11.1.1.6.0 version, Virtual Directory Server
When attempting to search a dynamic group, the following error occurs.
ERROR

search: 2
result: 1 Operations error
text: Error during search:java.lang.NullPointerException
STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Run the following command:
$ ldapsearch -x -h <OVD HOSTNAME> -p <PORT#> -D employeenumber=<EMPLOYEE#>,ou=employees,ou=<OU>,dc=<COMPANY>,dc=com -W -b ou=<OU>,ou=groups,dc=<COMPANY>,dc=com cn=CrewLinkExternal
IMPACT
-----------------------
The issue is severe because the failure causes entire branch to fail (not only the group which has caused the error). Secondly, the plugins works in OVD 10g well but fails in OVD 11g for same groups.
